The fair-weather over the weekend lead to high pollen concentrations and symptom load for pollen allergy sufferers. All over Austria, the flowering of hazel and alder continues. While the peak in pollen release of hazel has already past, alder is in its major pollination phase. These “early bloomers” still cause moderate to high pollen concentrations.
