First hazels possess the capacity to pollinate on thermic favoured sites. This concerns especially the lowlands and sun exposed areas. The majority of hazel is not yet ready to flower (see forecast dates).
Additionally, the weather does not always provide favourable conditions for pollination this week: “Early starter hazels” pollinate only during dry periods and temperatures of about 5°C. The readiness to flower is generally expected in about two weeks from a current point...
