global distribution, lives on dead plant material, in the soil, parasitical on plants, in moist environment on domestic and construction material as well as on foodstuffs
Appearance:
moulds appear as colored film, moisture of the substrate or the air is prerequisite for an infestation, fungi reproduce sexually by spores (analogous to plant pollen), which can be determined microscopically, fungi are composed of mycelium built up by filaments and possess spore carriers (sporangia), which form the fungal spores
Allergenicity:
High, frequent allergen of a mould allergy
